Detailed Itinerary

  • DAY 1: Arrival

We pick you up from the airport in Zagreb and take you to Zadar. Zadar is a coastal city which has been voted as the best European destination of 2016. This small city boasts of the most amazing sunsets in all of Croatia. The other unique advantage is its central location. Almost all of the sights -seeing places are within an hour’s traveling radius of Zadar.

Once you check into the hotel, we take you to the “konobas” or small restaurants to have your dinner and enjoy the first of your many sunsets in this beautiful country (don’t forget – it spring/summer time and the sun does not set till almost 9 pm!!)

 

  • Day 2- Explore Zadar

Zadar is centrally located coastal city. it will be a relaxing day, we will  set out in the morning to check the local attractions like the sphinx and the church. We then move on to the famous man made marvel “the sea organ” on the promenade, an art installation consisting of a series of pipes cut into the promenade.

The waves crash onto these pipes on the shore and create a beautiful music. It is unbelievable but true! Here, you can sit on the white stone steps listening to the symphony of nature. We will bring you back before sunset to go for the sunset kayak tour

Sunset Kayak Tour in Zadar:

Experience a magnificent sunset on the open sea. Enjoy a bottle of fine wine and light snack, and view where the mountains and the setting sun become one on the horizon. Romantic adventure starts at 6 pm from a small historically rich place Rovanjska, which stands in the foothills of the National Park Paklenica.

 In front of the Cafe bar “PUNTA” you will be welcomed by our skipper prepared with your kayak’s. After a short training in kayaking at sea you will be comfortably accommodate into your kayaks with a safety equipment and we are ready to sail out in a romantic adventure.

The path leads us to Maslenica canal along steep cliffs over 50m high until the beaches hidden and unreachable by land where you can go diving, swimming or jump from the cliffs. At this intimate beaches you will have free time just for the two of you. After some free time we will get into the kayaks and we continue our adventure. In the next bay we embrace the thrilling ambience with a tasting of Dalmatian products and a bottle of wine for each kayak. With our bottle of wine we head towards the open part of the sea where we anchor and enjoy the wine in the most beautiful sunset in the world.

DAY 3 -Zadar -Plitvice Lake (1hr 30 min)

After breakfast, we take you to Plitvice Lakes. This is a 1.5 hour drive from Zadar.The beauty of this UNESCO world heritage site lies in its 16 terraced lakes, inter-connected by waterfalls, gorges, rivers, forests and diversity of the animal life. See this natural wonderland made of lakes and waterfalls. Plitvice Lake is renowned for its distinctive colors that change during the day from amethyst green to azure blue.. This is easily one of the best sights  of not only Croatia but in most probability the whole world!

 

DAY 4 - Long island 

Dugi otok (Long Island) is an island that will etch it’s image in your heart forever.. It is drop dead beautiful!!! The Nature Park on its south side with its exceptional Telašćica bay, which is the most beautiful, safest and biggest natural bay on the Adriatic offering more than 25 little beaches, followed by the rocks rising up to 161 meters above the sea and descending up to 90 meters into the sea and finally the salt lake with its healing power.

On the northern part, beach Sakarun predominates as a beautiful white sand and pebble beach with its crystal clear sea and an impressive lighthouse, Veli rat, which completes the astonishing view. Traditional fiesta in Sali, a village on the island, called „Saljske užance“ presents local traditional customs and offers three day long fun for every visitor.

DAY 5- Krka National Park

Krka National Park is a spectacular area home to impressive waterfalls and hundreds of species of plants, birds, amphibians, reptiles and fish. After breakfast we’ll cruise north past Sibenik and along the Krka River to reach the park. Enjoy a tour before continuing by coach to the prestigious Bibich Winery, where a gourmet experience awaits. Ferry back to Zadar.

 Overnight  in Zadar.

 

DAY 6- Kornati islands

Kornati Island is a group of about 130 islands, islets and reefs sprinkled in the deep blue sea of the Adriatic covering an area of about 64 sq km, located just across the cities of Zadar and Sibenik. The largest island, and the one that you will visit today is Kornat from which the archipelago takes its name. Other larger islands are, Piskara, Kurba Vela, Zut, Sit ,Vrgada and Levrnaka. Apart from a tiny area of cultivated land with fig trees, olives and vineyards, Kornati islands are rocky, covered with thin grass, rare trees and Mediterranean scrubs.

The Kornati have no permanent inhabitants, although the present owners from nearby larger Dalmatian islands periodically visit Kornati to tend their vineyards and olive groves, bringing their sheep to graze.   The day can be spent swimming and lounging. There is a restaurant where the boat stops where you can have your lunch. Back to your hotel. Overnight at Zadar

 

DAY 7- Zadar –Dubrovnik (4 Hour)

Welcome to Dubrovnik! Upon arrival, you will be taken to your hotel on Private basis. Your guide will then take you a funicular ride up to the Srđ Hill. Enjoy the spectacular panoramic views of the Old Town of Dubrovnik, sea and the nearby islands. You will continue your tour with a walk around the magnificent city walls of Dubrovnik, one of the most harmonious and best preserved ramparts in the Mediterranean.

An uninterrupted flow of walls, almost 2 km of length, with mighty forts, towers and bastions, were intended to protect this vulnerable city. By evening, we you can go to famous Buza Bar, which is perched at the edge of the rocks and overlooks the Adriatic. Sip a beer or an iced tea while you watch the sun set in this beautiful city. Overnight in Dubrovnik

 

DAY 8-: Mljet National Park Day Trip from Dubrovnik

With this full-day guided day trip from Dubrovnik to Mljet, you're all set to have the ultimate Dalmatian island experience. The most densely wooded of the Croatian isles, this 23-mile (37-kilometer) island is a great spot to spend the day. Relax on the boat ride from Dubrovnik and take in the shimmering Adriatic Sea. Explore the diminutive island of St. Mary and its amazing Benedictine monastery and then spend time on verdant Mljet learning about its history from your guide. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

 

DAY9-: Dubrovnik- Sightseeing

Dubrovnik Cathedral is a popular Dubrovnik attraction that dates back to the 6th or 7th century, according to varying accounts. An imposing structure that is impressive from both historical and architectural standpoints, the cathedral was originally designed in the magnificently ornate Byzantine style.

Sometime between the 12th and 14th centuries, it was rebuilt in the Romanesque style, only to be later rebuilt in the Baroque style by architects Paolo Andreotti and Andrea Buffalini, after large sections were destroyed in the earthquake of 1667.

 DAY10-:   Catch a flight from Dubrovnik to Zagreb

Discover why Zagreb is becoming recognized as one of the most vibrant and popular tourist destinations in Central-Eastern Europe. See Stone gate and Bloody Bridge Street while you absorb life of Croatian capital city. You will also enjoy a visit to the captivating Museum of Broken Relationships. . It also has many parks and all of them are walkable distances.

We will be accommodating you in Hotel Dubrovnik, which is in the middle of the City square. You could absorb the local culture by visiting their stores and markets. In the evening the city square has some performances which is just across the hotel yo would be staying in – so you could choose to participate or make an early night. Evening free for leisure or tuck in early after a long haul flight. Overnight in Zagreb

 

DAY 11 -: Depart from Zagreb

Morning is reserved for some last minute souvenir shopping or a walk in the park

It would be time to  time to say goodbye to Zagreb and proceed to airport to catch a flight back to your home town with beautiful memories!!!!!!
